Treatment Programs Offered at Our Drug Rehab near Washington Heights New York
One size does not fit all, so drug and alcohol rehab programs must meet the needs of individuals dealing with co-occurring mental health and addiction or dual diagnosis disorder situations. Individualized treatment plans ensure the interventions help individuals by getting to the root causes of problems. A patient’s treatment plan includes interventions to help them stop using drugs and reduce the unpleasant effects of withdrawal.
The individual addicted to opioids and other painkillers may benefit from medication-assisted treatment, where they receive controlled amounts of a drug to help them deal with withdrawal, which can cause extreme physical and emotional discomfort.
Clients with substance abuse disorder can expect to participate in individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy. Nutrition and self-care are also essential components of rehab.
Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment for the Jewish Community
The Recovery at the Crossroads staff understands the importance of meeting the needs of individuals from various backgrounds, which is why addiction treatment for the Jewish community is vital. When those of the Jewish faith come to Recovery at the Crossroads for rehabilitation, they’ll find an environment of respect for culture, traditions and values.
Kosher Rehabilitation Programs
As a Kosher rehabilitation program, Recovery at the Crossroads supports Jewish community members to help them feel at home, enabling them to practice their faith and dine according to their religious guidelines. A Kosher dietary plan ensures individuals get the nutrition they require to rebuild bodies weakened by substance misuse.
A fully stocked Kashrut kitchen provides easy access to meats, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, grains, bread, snacks, desserts and beverages. Jewish religious services, a vital aspect of Jewish life, are available to help individuals find spiritual support while working toward their rehabilitation goals.
The Best Alcohol Rehab Treatment for Washington Heights Residents
Look no further than Recovery at the Crossroads for the best rehab treatment for Washington Heights residents. Rehab at Recovery at the Crossroads begins with an assessment to determine what the addicted individual needs to be successful at recovery. Subsequent treatment by mental health professionals and medical staff address issues identified in the treatment plan. Our goal is to provide a rehabilitation setting where people can be themselves, grow with the support of staff and peers and leave feeling ready to start a new substance-free life.
A Holistic Approach to Treatment
Recovery at the Crossroads’ holistic approach to helping people recover through residential rehab includes medication-assisted treatment and individual and group therapy. We also offer specialized therapies, including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing treatment (EMDR), that help individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress and trauma associated with adverse experiences such as violence, disasters and grief.
Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Partial hospitalization helps ease the transition from inpatient treatment by providing daily support. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) works for individuals leaving residential or partial hospitalization who can still benefit from support and treatment 10 hours per week. Each of these programs offers individual and group counseling, medication-assisted treatment, trauma therapy and other therapeutic interventions to help patients navigate the challenges of recovery and life after drug rehab.
Aftercare Planning
Completing a substance abuse treatment program is only the beginning of recovery. Returning to the community can be an overwhelming and stressful process. Aftercare planning and referrals can provide a safety net of supportive services, including peer support groups, individual counseling and other resources to help those in recovery be successful as they seek jobs and housing and reconnect with family members.

OUR PATIENTS AND THEIR LOVED ONES SAY IT BEST
I was admitted to the Turnsville location. I spent 8 months there, in out paient. Not by force. I stayed because it was actually working for me, and I didn't really want to leave. I had fear that if I left too soon I would relapse. They worked with me all the way through my 8 month stay. My therapist was Samanths W. Her and I clicked. She helped me through so much during my time there. Sad to hear that she has since found another job 😢 IF it wasn't for crossroads I have no idea where I would be today. This place really save me as a person, and made me gain back my sobriety. This place helps with your mental health as well. Their is a nurse on site during the week that can get you on the right medications if need be. They also feed you lunch everyday mon-friday. This place also accepts Medicare, a Medicad. They have day sessions 9am to 2pm and night sessions 6pm to 9m If you are someone you know is struggling with a drug/alcohol problem or even mental health. I urge you to pick this location. This is one of the best places you can find in South Jersey. I rate this place a 5 out of 5 starts because it truly is a great place. I myself have been to a couple IOP locations and this one is the top of my list. Please take my word for it, and visit Recovery at the Crossroads today Sincerely, CASSIE GRIFFITH

I don't typically write reviews but I felt compelled to share my experience at Recovery at the Crossroads. The RAC program has helped support my recovery and betterment as a person. RAC has a wide variety of group options to support both substance use and mental health. I was also able to engage in individual therapy as often as I needed to support my day to day adjustment of returning to treatment. I really liked the meditation, yoga, and music therapy that they offered. Other treatment centers I have been at have offered similars services but the martial arts and pet therapy is something I haven't experienced elsewhere. I really enjoy the options they offer and the staff is very supportive. The clinical staff is here to support you on your journey in recovery and help your throughout the process. I really connected to my female counselor, she always went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Anytime I needed her support she was able to set time aside to speak with me individually. She offered my a wide variety of coping skills to support my anxiety and mental health. The RAC team is welcoming and eager to help. My family appreciated the weekly updates and felt involved in my care. The family sessions were beneficially in helping me reconnect to my parents and allow them to better support me. They enjoyed attending the monthly family support and spoke highly of the counselor running it. I want to give a personal shoutout to the EMDR therapist too. She was very supportive and approachable. She helped me with my trauma and ability to ground myself in times of stress.

An amazing place to recover! So many staff who are in recovery, and master level clinicians who know how to treat addiction. Pet therapy, music therapy, EMDR, bio sound bed, massage therapy and yoga! bagels on Fridays! What I am most proud of is recovery at the crossroads really offers what they say they offer on the phone. It’s not a sales pitch. There is a real kosher kitchen. There’s a real Rabbi on staff. There’s a real trauma therapist. It’s really small group sizes and a LOT of individual attention. It’s definitely unique but, I’m it also definitely works. I would absolutely send a loved one here in a heartbeat because I know they would have an amazing head start into their recovery. I would rest knowing they are being treated with a level of respect for our culture/religion many places don’t even think to offer in regards to food, holidays, and even language. Very grateful RAC exists and again proud to be a part of it!

Before I write this review, I want to start by making one thing very clear. Good therapy, does not always feel good if you are doing the work right and sometimes you get what looks like worse before you get better. In addition: leaving your life and entering Rehab/ Mental health treatment is a very courageous choice but not a comfortable one. ( Keep that in mind when there's rules enforced for the benefit of your treatment that you don't agree with, our best thinking got us to the hurting that brought us to treatment to begin with, if we want different results we have to be open to trying something different, trust the process.)With that being said. Before coming to RAC I was pretty scared because, I had been to some treatment centers in the past that did more damage than good and the last thing I wanted to do was to go through such an experience again, gratefully RAC turned out to be one of the oh so very good ones.RAC is a smaller treatment center, unlike some bigger ones I have attended and got lost in the shuffle, this environment really felt like a family and got alot of individualized attention. The groups for the most part are very thought provoking, challenging and healing. ( Note: the therapists can provide an awesome group however it's really the clients that make the groups, so whatever amount you put into it is what you will get out of it) Especially process group in the morning, afternoon is a mix of alternative therapies example, music, martial arts, pet therapy, yoga, spirituality ( love you rabbi Epstein) etc and those really come down to personal preference of what you connect with and everyone is different. The staff across the board starting with the Legend Dr A. ( Abundance of gold wisdom she is) Is top notch. I have been to 39 therapist to date and shout out to Alyssa for making it in the top all time 3 😊 even after removing the substance of our choice, we have all the behaviors, traumas and reasons why we wanted to escape comes comes into play to address and that's where EMDR Lady Dr Basheer for sure botching the spelling of her name aka Dr Smokey Smokes comes in. Not only is she god damn hilarious , she also is phenomenal at her job and one of most redeeming qaulities that RAC has to offer.I came to RAC for primary PTSD and secondary Substance, which is not the common combo for the average client at RAC. I can gratefully say after being out in society post 90 days of treatment that my every day life is significantly safer and healthier that prior to RAC. I am forever grateful to RAC for the gift of recovery in all aspects of that term and will continue to not waste the gift they have given me by continuing to do the every day work with my renewed foundation in the outside world.RAC is a co occurring substance abuse and mental health facility, however I would say that if you are struggling with primary mental health and are in a crippling state, suicidal ideation, depression to the point you can't get out of bed, extreme un balanced BPD. I would recommend that RAC is not the place for you and to continue searching for the help you deserve with a higher level of treatment and care. Regardless of the reason that bring you to RAC for treatment, my second note that I would make is that for RAC you need some starting level of self motivation and commitment to wanting to get better. If you are forced to go/ or have no interest to be there, it's going to be hard for anyone regardless of how great the place is to convince you other wise. They were accommodating to my gluten free diet, however if I have to see another piece piece grilled chicken again, I am going to 🤢* I have not added anything about the sober living house and accomodations because that I technically separate, so will not be adding anything regarding that part of the program in here, please check out black horse acres sober living for further information.** If you have any questions about my experience at RAC or on the fence about starting treatment, I am user friendly, feel free or reach out to me directly.
